SACRAMENTO-
Rep. Ami Bera’s lead over challenger Doug Ose grew to 1,432 votes in the race for California’s 7th Congressional District.
The Sacramento County Registrar of Voters released the updated numbers Wednesday.
A week earlier, Bera’s lead was just under 700 votes.
The race between Bera and Ose was one of the most expensive congressional race in the country for the 2014 general election.
Bera’s lead is unlikely to change, according to the Registrar’s Office, and only 4,300 votes are left to count.
As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Ose had not conceded.
