SACRAMENTO-
A possible serial rapist has local authorities worried as he is still walking the streets of Sacramento, attacking women.
“What our concern is, any time there is a violent sexual predator out there, we know that every time this person gets away with a crime it empowers them to do more,” Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sergeant Lisa Bowman said.
Detectives say the man has raped and violently assaulted three women in less than four months. The most recent happened this past Wednesday.
“They are very similar in nature, very similar in location. As far as the suspect description, motive, everything is lining up to lead us to believe it is one person committing this,” Bowman said.

They say he’s becoming more violent with each attack. In the first attack, investigators say the woman was stun gunned and raped. In the second, the woman was hit from behind, dragged down an embankment and raped. The third was taken at knife point, kidnapped and raped. Her injuries were the most severe.
“He drove her a short distance from Auburn Boulevard, where he actually kidnapped her from the Madison-80 front,” Bowman said. “He sexually assaulted her kicked her out of the vehicle.”
Detectives believe the man might be trying to change his appearance. He is described as a black male, 20 to 40 years old. He has a shaved head or short afro-style haircut, clean shaven, has a large build and wears rectangular shaped glasses.
In the last attack the man reportedly drove a red, older model, box-type, four door vehicle. All women should be aware of these attacks.
“Our victims haven’t been involved in anything suspicious. They are normal people,” Bowman told FOX40. “These are people walking to meet their family. These are people walking to work or walking to meet friends. Just be aware of your surroundings.”
