A three-year-old boy was pulled from a burning car by a person who witnessed the accident. The woman driving the car died.

Tuesday afternoon, a 29-year-old woman was driving down Albers Road in Modesto. For some reason, her car drifted into the northbound lane, and slammed into another car.

The woman’s car caught fire after the collision.

A witness was able to remove the three-year-old boy safely, however the car completely caught on fire before he could save the driver. CHP officers say the woman died as a result of the crash. She has not been identified at this time.

The child only has minor injuries.

The driver of the other car had major injuries, and was taken to the hospital.
