Kings to Keep Arena Construction Tax Revenue in CitySACRAMENTO-

In less than a month, the Kings are planning for demolition at the site of what’s set to become the team’s new arena.

But a new group of taxpayers says not so fast.

Members of Sacramento Community Action say they’ve been gathering support and organizing in neighborhoods across the capitol city just since the beginning of the month.

Still they believe they can affect plans for a $477 million arena project that’s cleared every legal hurdle to date.

J. Bolton Phillips says the group might try to recall city council members.

The council is expected to give the arena its final green light on May 13 by approving the project’s environmental impact report.
