EL DORADO COUNTY-
A team of firefighters had to deploy their shelters while fighting the King Fire Monday afternoon near Pollock Pines.
Cal Fire says one of their captains and an inmate crew had to use their shelters for protection from the fire around 1 p.m.
All personnel have been accounted for, and there are no reported injuries at this time.
The King Fire is almost 4,000 acres, and is threatening around 500 homes. Cal Fire says they have more than 800 firefighters battling the King Fire. It is burning in rugged terrain, making it difficult for firefighters to reach.

The Pollock Pines Elementary School District will be closed again Tuesday because of the ongoing firefighting efforts near schools.
