SACRAMENTO-

State Senator Leland Yee has entered a Federal Building in San Francisco after being arrested at a location in the Bay Area.

The senator is reportedly facing bribery and political corruption charges.

FBI agents and officers raided several locations in San Francisco Wednesday morning. They also sent officers to Yee’s State Capitol office in Sacramento.

A CHP officer has stood watch outside his Sacramento office all morning as agents search inside. No word on what they are looking for.

Senator Yee, and others from Wednesday’s raids, are expected to appear in court in San Francisco later in the afternoon.

Noted San Francisco Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow was arrested in the same sweep. Chow was connected in the past to the Wo Hop To gang and has previously faced federal charges.

Yee was given a transparency award March 20, before the accusations against him came to light.
