ANTELOPE-

Twin brothers Ruslan and Roman Glukhoy are accused of stealing a truck slamming into a car Wednesday morning during a high-speed police chase, killing two people.

“We’re very sorry for what happened,” cousin Andrey Glukhoy said. “I know this is a great loss for the family and we’re sorry for what happened.”

The 19-year-old twins, along with 21-year-old Yuriy Merkushev, were allegedly running from a reported burglary in Auburn.

The chase ended in Antelope, shortly after the deadly crash.

The Glukhov family said the boys were wrestling stars in high school. They even had potential to be state champions.

“And then after that, they got into an accident on their bus. The doctor prescribed them hard drugs and after that, they got caught up with heroin,” Andrey Glukhov said. “After that, this (the chase and crash) is what happened.”

Jose Luis Barriga-Tovar and his 14-year-old daughter were killed in the crash.
