SACRAMENTO-
The City of Sacramento’s recent crackdown on illegal dumping leads to its first arrest, thanks to a tip.
Police say Oksana Lyamin dumped garbage on the side of Dry Creek Road, near I-80 back in February.
A witness called 311 to report it at the time. The caller provided information about the car and the person they saw.
After four months of investigating, the city identified Lyamin and arrested her this week.
The person who called in the tip may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
Sacramento urges anyone who sees illegal dumping to call 311.
