SACRAMENTO-

A federal grand jury indicted Jeremy Meeks, a convicted felon, for knowingly having a firearm Thursday.

Meeks was met with online stardom after his latest arrest last month, when comments by users on the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page focused on how attractive he looked in his booking photo.

He has a felony grand theft conviction from 2002 in Solano County.

Meeks’ latest arrest was part of an Operation Ceasefire sweep in Stockton. He and three others were taken into custody, and four guns were seized.

If convicted, Meeks could face up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and three years of supervised release.
