SACRAMENTO-
The demolition process for downtown Sacramento’s new arena will begin Friday at 6 a.m. at the Downtown Plaza, the Kings announced Wednesday evening.
The public will still me able to go into the West Mall from either L or J street.
A rough schedule was laid out by the team in late June.
The foundation will be laid from fall 2014 into the 2015 winter months.
The arena will begin to take shape in summer 2015, as the steel structure starts to go up.
Expected completion of the new arena is in the fall of 2016.
Officials said crews will use the “best available” noise control equipment, including sound barriers.
