STOCKTON-

A 20-year-old man is facing several charges after a 17-year-old claims she was kidnapped and forced into prostitution. Officers say the man was found with three other underage girls.

Over the weekend, Stockton Police got a call from the 17-year-old saying she met the man, identified as Chester Brown, several months ago in Antioch. A few days later, after arguing with her parents, she ran away and met up with Brown. She says Brown drove her to Stockton, forced her to create an online account and engage in acts of prostitution.

Officers arrested Brown when he returned to the location of the victim. He was with three girls at the time, two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old. The victim says one of the other 14-year-olds was teaching her how to be a prostitute, and she also had been reported as a missing person.

The other 14-year-old and the 16-year-old found with Brown denied any involvement in prostitution and have not been arrested.

Brown faces various charges, including kidnapping, terrorist threats, sexual battery and sex with a minor.

He is in the San Joaquin County Jail, his bail is set at $1.4 million.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified the victim as 14 years old, she is 17 years old.
